This program sponsored by the YMCA helps children get a good start to the school year by providing clothing and school supplies to deserving children in the Richmond area.  Each year, the people of Westover Hills UMC serve as volunteers to help the children shop for school clothing, and we give financially to support this wonderful ministry.   For more information about Bright Beginnings, Click Here.

We will be participating in the YMCAs Bright Beginnings program again this year.  We will be school shopping for children from Manchester YMCA on Thursday, August 18 at the Midlothian Target, across from the street from Chesterfield Towne Center. Participants should arrive at Target at 5:30 p.m. and allow two hours for shopping and dinner with the child you are sponsoring.

If you would like to help out in another way, the YMCA is also accepting monetary donations, backpacks, and school supplies.
