On Saturday, January 28, Westover Hills United Methodist Church once again sponsored STOP HUNGER NOW. Our goal was to surpass the number of meals made last year (20,000). This year, we packaged 22,000 meals in just 3 hours! At one point, we were putting together 1000 meals every six minutes! Thank you to everyone who showed up for packaging, and to everyone who contributed financially. Many of you supported the Advent Offering where we raised just over $3000. We added our Christmas Jar matching gift ($1000), as well as funds received the day of the event and funds designated for mission to reach a total of $5,500. What a wonderful way to share the love of Christ while meeting a most basic human need!
