WHUMC Summer Camp
 
Campers will explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. Imagine it, design it, build it…No experience is required to enroll. Campers will explore the world of game design powered by BLOXEL Game Design. Drop and drag programming allows kids to quickly develop skills to build and program game projects. Each day the program includes two periods of gaming and one period of faith exploration & outdoor activities (Weather Permitting).

Each day, campers will explore music and art through engaging and interactive, hands-on experiences!  This program also includes one period of faith exploration & outdoor activities (Weather Permitting).

Discover how to use the voice as a musical instrument as well as play a variety of instruments, and to sing alone or in a group! Learn about Music Theory and Music History through a variety of musical and movement activities! Develop basic painting & art skills through aa variety of painting mediums and subjects!

Each day is filled with engaging performing arts training such as acting workshops, musical theatre styles, audition skill-building, and creative movement culminating in a final performance.

This mission – oriented camp experience is designed to engage students in missions right here in RVA!  We will team up with the PACE Center at VCU to serve and learn.  Campers will engage in relationship – based mission opportunities throughout Richmond and learn about ways to engage in local, national and international relationship based mission.  Campers will reflect on Richmond’s history of justice and mercy by attending local historical sights and museums.
